Herbicide Resistant Weed Testing Results
- by: Mike Cowbrough, OMAFRAFriday May 1st, 2009
Controlling six common annual species in Ontario fields just got tougher since the University of Guelph's Department of Plant Agriculture confirmed 43 herbicide resistant weed populations from the 2008 growing season. These testing results represent a 90% confirmation level of "suspected" herbicide resistant weed populations sent in by growers and agronomists. The tables below summarizes testing results and provides alternative herbicides that will be effective on these particular resistant weeds in non-GMO soybeans. To view alternative options for field corn and cereals, go to Ontario's herbicide selector at www.weedpro75.com
