tgis weed is a vogourous vine twisting like a morning glory, using blueberry stems for support.

the above plant is most likely Apios americana, which goes by a number of common names including Ground nut.

Plant 1 - I thought - may be a maple tree that found a poor home but I’m not convinced.  It does seem to have a ‘trunk’.  It’s about 5 feet high and the leaves are about 4 inches wide.

Plant 2 - has thorns or hairs on the stem and the leaves look almost prickly - picture 2c is great as an example.  It’s about 3′ tall.

We cannot make out the identification of Plant # 1 based on the photos. Plant # 2 is a wild lettuce species, most likely prickly lettuce.

the roots are very deep and have one large root that goes very deep… over 12 inches. i dig really deep to get them out, however, it seems like the root still breaks off and some of it stays in the ground. it grows back within a few weeks. how do i kill this weed

These seem to be like flowers in the way that the stems grow up and are pulled out without roots (almost like there’s a bulb)but I never as them flower.  No petioles and the leaves seem to wrap around the stem at the base of the leaf

This weed is extensive in an area seeded with red fescue after we built our house in 2009 and grew in disturbed soil surrounding our house. Has no apparent flowers.

The above plant looks to be a legume crop, most likely a Medicago Species (Alfalfa).
